Means of Containment
- A person must not handle, offer for transport, transport or import dangerous goods unless it is in a means of containment required or permitted by Part 5 of the regulations and if required, it must be in standard
- All means of containment used to contain dangerous goods must be designed, constructed, filled, closed secured and maintained so that during normal conditions of transport there will be no accidental release of dangerous goods
- All required certification safety marks required by a standard shall be displayed on the means of containment and must remain visible and legible.
- Dangerous Goods must be loaded in or on a means of containment or transport unit in such a way that, under normal conditions of handling and transport, damage that could lead to a release of dangerous goods is prevented
