Transportation of
Dangerous Goods by Road
The Canadian Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act and Regulations govern the transport of Dangerous Goods by all modes but this course focuses on the requirements for road, rail and domestic water transport for shippers, carriers and those involved in the handling of Dangerous Goods.
Canada is a unique and expansive Country that covers a vast range of transport environments. The regulations have been designed to include “General Provisions” and “Special Cases” to address certain aspects of transport in Canada. These “exemptions” will be covered as well to provide the most comprehensive overall understanding the regulations and how best to apply them to your specific transport needs.
Shipping to and receiving from the United States will also be covered if needed and how the US Hazardous Materials Regulations of 49 CFR applies to a Canadian Shipper/Receiver.
At Dangerous Goods Educational Services Inc., we cover all these aspects and customize each course to your specific needs. Our Road courses are conducted on-site at your location to take advantage of your products, hazardous items on hand for focused examples during the training. This allows the students to apply the course material in real time to what they will be trained to do upon completion of the course.
