- Some types of dangerous goods require signs or markings be displayed that further identify those goods while in transport
- “Elevated Temperature Sign” for products identified as UN3257 and UN3258
- “Marine Pollutant Mark” (this is also required on a small means of containment) when transported by ship, subject to section 4.22
- Normally, only a placard for the Primary risk is required to be displayed
- Section 4.15 (1) lists the instances where a subsidiary placard is necessary
- Note: The placards cannot be removed until the container has been unloaded, unpacked, cleaned or purged of all hazardous products and/or residues
