- For a person to handle, offer for transport or transport dangerous goods, or direct another person to do so, the person must be adequately trained and:
o Hold a training certificate, or
o Be acting under the direct supervision of a trained certificate-holder - An individual is deemed to be adequately trained when:
o The employer has reasonable grounds to believe they are adequately trained in the topics that relate directly to their duties and the dangerous goods they will handle or transport, and
o They have been issued a training certificate - You may be provided with additional training as it relates to your company’s particular products and operations
