  • Section 5.2 states: “A standardized means of containment is in standard with a specific safety standard if it has displayed on it the certification safety marks required by the standard….”
  • For the previously-mentioned classes, this means the UN Specification marks required by CGSB-43.150
  • Example:
  • The United Nations packaging symbol “   ” indicates that the package has met the standards for packaging as dictated by the UN specifications, in Canada, CGSB – 43.150
  • 4G
    o “4” indicates the type of Package (Box)
    o “G” indicates the material the package is manufactured from (Fibreboard)
